27th February, 2020 The Embassy of Japan in partnership with the Japan Foundation, will host the 2020 Film Festival in Nuku‘alofa next month, on March 6th – 7th featuring movies based on Japanese manga series.
Four movies have been selected to be featured in two separate screenings; the first on Friday evening, 6th March presenting one of Japan’s 2017 popular movie the “TEIICHI.” The second screening on Saturday, 7th March will feature three movies including a famous science fiction titled the “INUYASHIKI.” Admission for both screenings is FREE with all movies to have English subtitles.
The Embassy of Japan is happy to invite those with passionate interest in movies to visit the Fiefia Room at Tanoa International Dateline Hotel for the film festival. The schedule of screening will be;

The 2020 Japanese Film Festival is one of the many cultural events hosted by the Embassy of Japan in partnership with the Japan Foundation, to promote understanding of the people of the Kingdom of Tonga into Japan’s culture, through arts.
