Bachelor Degree in Economics, Accounting or relevant field of study from a recognized tertiary institution with at least 5 years of work experiences in senior level of Government Accounting System; OR
Master Degree in Economics, Accounting or relevant field of study from a recognized tertiary Institution with at least 3 years of work experiences in senior level of Government accounting system. Desirable: Knowledge of Government legislative and institutional frameworks relating to Financial Management and Government Financial Management and Accounting System – Sun System Program, Meridian, CS – DRMS or relevant accounting package |

-Treasury Division -Band L ($19,490 to $29,230) |
Must have a first degree in Accounting or relevant field from a recognized tertiary institution with up to 3 years’ experience in Accounting or similar role; OR
Diploma in Accounting or relevant field from a recognized tertiary institution with 5 year’s work experience in similar role |

-Treasury Division -Band O ($10,080 to $15,120) |
A Certificate in Accounting or relevant field with 2 years work experience;
OR Form 7 with 4 years work experience; OR PSSC with 6 years work experience. |
| 6. Accountant (contract)
–EU Project -Equivalent of Band H ($33,600 to $50,400)

The Project Accountant must fulfill the following profile:
· a degree in accounting, or related fields, with a higher degree and/or additional professional qualifications being an advantage; · He/she should have at least two years relevant experience in the areas of accounting and financial management in Tonga or overseas. · a good knowledge of EU procedures and guidelines would be an advantage; however not compulsory · Knowledge and management of any other development partner programme · He/she must be fluent in written and oral English and Tongan · Must be familiar with Word, Excel. |
