02nd June, 2017 Early this morning Police executed a search warrant at a residence in Kolomotu’a as part of an on-going drug related investigation.
A man, aged 27 years-old from Fanga, have been arrested and charged with possession of illicit drugs.
He is set to appear at the Fasi Magistrate Court on Tuesday 6th June 2017.
Recovered in the search were 43.89grams of cannabis (88 small bags and 1 large bag), and 14grams of methamphetamine (28 small bags and 6 medium bags).
“Everyone in our communities has a right to be safe and feel safe whether they are at home or at work. The community can help stop the availability of illegal drugs by reporting suspicious activity to Police. By working together we can make a difference and stop the crime and social harm associated with this illegal activity,” says A/Chief Superintendent Tevita Vailea.
