Vacant position available at Department of Environment, Energy and Climate Change.

Applications are hereby invited for the position of a Legal Officer (Climate Change Policy), Climate Change Department and Energy Planner, Energy Department and Senior Environmentalist, Environment Department, MEIDECC.

Job Title Band Salary Minimum Requirements
Legal Officer (Climate Change and Policy Planning) K $23,520 – $35,280 A Bachelor Degree in Law from a recognised tertiary Institution with a Professional Diploma in Legal Practice from a recognised Institutional with some work experience is desirable but not essential
Energy Planner (Renewable Energy, Petroleum & Gas/Database) K $23,520 – $35,280 Must have a Bachelor Degree in Energy management/Engineering/Economics Management/Electrician/Technology or related field from a recognized tertiary institution with at least three (3) years of work experience in RE and technology, power sector, project management, rural/remote electrification, community participation or related fields OR

A Master’s Degree or higher in the above fields with at least two (2) years relevant work experience in the above areas.

Senior Environmentalist K $23,520 – $35,280 Essential:  Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Environmental Management or related field of study from a recognised tertiary institution with 3 years of relevant work experience.

Desirable: Masters in Environmental Management or related field of study with a least a year of relevant work experience in government.
