11th October 2016 Developing sustainable food systems worldwide is the call of the day and the FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations) in collaboration with WHO, has declared the theme “Climate is changing. Food and agriculture must too.” for World Food Day this year. It is collaboratively felt that “ The world’s poorest are being hit hardest by climate change. If we strengthen the resilience of smallholder farmers, we can guarantee food security for the planet’s growing global population and also reduce emissions”.
